Apple PowerBook Laptop 15.2 inch M9969LL/A

Apple PowerBook Laptop 15.2" M9969LL/A (1.67 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, SuperDrive)

Great Laptop!
I have had this computer since Feb 2006 and have had only one problem with it. My superdrive stopped working within my warranty period, but I had it replaced by apple promptly. Since then, I have had no issues with this computer. My display did not suffer from the horizontal line issues since I purchased a refurbished powerbook g4. In my mind, this is the best 15" Powerbook G4 to get, since it has DDR2 RAM which is now getting really cheap, and has the standard 128mb dual link video card. I have my system maxed out at 2GB of RAM with the 100gb 7200 rpm drive and it runs great. It has been a reliable workhorse computer that has gotten me through the last part of my college and now serves me at my job. I would recommend over some of the first generation core duo macbook pros since I have had very good reliability and it runs about 40 degrees F cooler during high load. I use my computer for photo editing, video editing, surfing the web, and creating webpages, and it has remained as fast as when I purchased it. The display backlighting is also as bright as when it was purchased, as well as the backlit keyboard. If you are in the market for a reliable computer, this one fits the bill.

Great, reliable machine
This is just the perfect size for someone who writes, travels and and uses the computer for research and shopping. I read some of the negative reviews here from people having problems with their powerbooks and I never feel compelled to write because I don't have any - problems that is, besides the bluetooth being a bit too competitive with the airport. The airport works fine (not great like with my plastic cased iMac, but very respectibly nonetheless), but it tends to kick the bluetooth out of the air. At least that's my somewhat uneducated opinion and experience. Other than that: great, flawless screen (thank God!, oops, sorry, Steve Jobs), wonderful keyboard, great working hard drive (fingers crossed now), and overall a superb piece of equipment.
